This track came about while I was working on another song (which I cannot remember what that was now), with Minwen on vocals.

I was playing a part of Minwen's vocals on repeat -- specifically the verses "Hold On" and "Cos I'm falling". I was trying out a few different chord progressions on a few vocal takes Minwen recorded. At one point, something sounded right. That something expanded into more words, different composition, Minwen recording the new set of vocals, and a new song.

The idea behind this song isn't so much about a depressed person singing about the end of the world. It's really about going confidently into the dark -- with nothing more that just that friend or companion whom we rely on -- and then hoping the world will turn to light once more.

And even if it doesn't, one still remembers the sweet memory of hands being held.
